1. Controller identity

The data controller for this website is Richard Gusman. The correspondence address is Hofstraat 10, 7001 JD Doetinchem, Netherlands. The website is operated as a personal journal and a small archive service, not as a medical, nutrition, or professional training service.

If you contact me, I process only the details needed to read your message and reply in a practical way. The site is intentionally small, so the contact process asks for a name, email address, topic, preferred reply time, and message text.

2. Data collected through contact

The contact form may collect your first name, email address, selected topic, preferred reply time, and whatever you choose to write in the message box. Please keep messages focused on the blog, the digital archive, a journal session, or the monthly note option.

The form includes a GDPR consent checkbox so that sending a message is a deliberate action. The submit button is a link to the thank-you page and does not create a public account. If you email me directly, similar information may appear in the email and its ordinary technical headers.

The hosting environment may also record basic technical data, such as the requested page, time of visit, browser type, and IP address. This helps with ordinary site operation, misuse prevention, and page availability.

3. GDPR Article 6 lawful bases

Where the General Data Protection Regulation applies, I rely on these GDPR Article 6 lawful bases:

I do not use contact messages to make automated decisions, build hidden profiles, or infer sensitive matters. The blog is personal experience only, and replies follow the same boundary.

4. Purposes of use

Your data may be used to reply to a question, explain a paid archive option, arrange a journal-focused call, send requested materials, keep records connected to a transaction, and maintain the basic operation of the website.

I do not sell personal data, rent contact lists, or add contact form users to unrelated marketing lists. If I later create a separate mailing list, it will need its own clear sign-up choice.

5. Storage period

General messages are kept only as long as reasonably needed to reply and manage the conversation. Messages linked to a paid service may be kept longer if they relate to scheduling, payment, accounting, or a practical record of what was requested.

Information needed for tax or administrative duties may be kept for the period required by law. If a message contains details I did not ask for and do not need, I may delete those details earlier.

6. Sharing and service providers

Personal data may be handled by ordinary providers used for hosting, email, file delivery, payment, backup, or site maintenance. These providers should process data only for the relevant purpose. I aim to keep the number of tools limited because this is a personal site.

Data may also be shared if required by law, a court, or a competent public authority. I do not publish private messages without permission.

7. Transfers outside the EEA

Some providers may process data outside the Netherlands or the European Economic Area. Where that happens, I expect appropriate safeguards such as contractual protections or other recognised transfer mechanisms. I try to keep the data flow modest and understandable.

8. Your rights

Depending on your situation and applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, portability, or withdrawal of consent. To make a request, contact me with enough information to identify the message or service interaction involved.

You may also contact the Dutch supervisory authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens. Their website explains privacy rights and complaint options in the Netherlands.

9. Cookies and embedded map

This static website does not require a user account. It may involve basic technical cookies or logs from the hosting environment. The main page includes a Google Maps iframe for Hofstraat 10, 7001 JD Doetinchem, Netherlands. If you interact with that map, Google may process data under its own materials.

If you prefer not to interact with the map, use the written address shown on the site instead.

10. Updates

This Privacy Policy may be updated when the website, contact process, or paid note options change. The current version is dated 1 June 2026. Continued use of the site after an update means the revised version applies from the date shown.
